In 2008 the Muzak Heart & Soul foundation’s Music Matters Grant Program awarded 84,000 to help support music eduucation in 23 schools across the United States. The following is a photo slideshow of randomly selected schools that were awarded grants.
The Under Armour High School All-America Game was aired on ESPN on Sunday, January 4th, 2009. The nation’s top high school football players competed and showcased their talents on national TV. One of the top quarterbacks is Josh Nunes from Upland High School in California. He is also building a solar go-kart as part of his teacher’s A+ for Energy Solar Grant from BP. Josh was so excited about the solar go-kart project that he kept talking about it during his pre-game interview with broadcasters. When Josh entered the game, the sports anchor described how Josh was excited about science and thankful for BP’s A+ for Energy grant program.
