The Under Armour High School All-America Game was aired on ESPN on Sunday, January 4th, 2009. The nation’s top high school football players competed and showcased their talents on national TV. One of the top quarterbacks is Josh Nunes from Upland High School in California. He is also building a solar go-kart as part of his teacher’s A+ for Energy Solar Grant from BP. Josh was so excited about the solar go-kart project that he kept talking about it during his pre-game interview with broadcasters. When Josh entered the game, the sports anchor described how Josh was excited about science and thankful for BP’s A+ for Energy grant program.

AR governor, Mike Beebe announces, in this video, that today announced that Arkansas was granted money to further build upon improvements in Advanced Placement (AP) scores by high school students. It isn’t an individual education grant perse, but this money will no doubt trickle down to individual students needing a grant for education to help on their education.
