A solar electric system will last 30 to 100 years, and when you break down costs compared to savings, going green using solar panels is an excellent, money saving way to save the planet. Check into solar grants and government incentives to help pay for the installation and initial costs to get you going!

I have had solar panels for years and they still work great.
If your electric bill was 100 dollars a month, a solar electric system last about 30 years so 100 times 30 = 36000 dollars. So you can break even without incentives. Plus you don't pay taxes on your home made electric or franchise taxes or any other fee on what you produce. Sale your home add 20% to the cost of the install and make a profit and have free electric for the last so many years.
So the incentives are already built in even without help from outside. There are some links on this page that can help prove solar pays off. And there is a link to a site that shows you what the incentives are in your state. http://www.oynot.com/how-solar.html
Check out this link to learn how to plan your own solar power system so all you have to do is pick the kit you need. http://www.oynot.com/solar-info.html
