My 17 year old nephew is studying music with a view to taking a degree. He has searched on the internet to see if there are any grants or help available, but all he can find is help for classical music students. My nephew is studying contemporary music and specializes in rock music. He wants to be a session musician and also teach. He plays lead, bass guitar and also keyboards.
There is federal grant money in the form of music grants or other art grants to help students who are interested in furthering their education this way, especially if they want to teach down the road.
